Did you know there are programs that you can sign up for that could help you increase your earnings with Doordash? Lots of dashers aren’t aware of these programs because Doordash doesn’t actually advertise them, but there are two programs with Doordash that you can sign up for that can benefit you while you are already dashing, and no we aren’t talking about top dasher program.
Large Order Program
The large order program, or veteran dashers know it as the catering program, rewards dashers with more high valued orders which typically come with a higher tip attached to them (doordash claims 2x-3x larger payouts). Dashers that are part of this program receive these offers when they become available before they are offered to a normal dasher. For the large order you will see the label on the request screen that says “catering” or “catering bag required” that will alert you when it is a large order.
So how do you get into this program? Well Doordash will tell you that you must wait for an email, we have found that you don’t really have to do that in some areas, but you do have to meet some qualifications.
- 200+ lifetime deliveries
- 100+ deliveries in the last month
- 4.7 customer rating
- 95% completion rating
Note: You must complete 100 deliveries + keep the ratings each month to qualify, this is not do it once and you keep it forever.
So after you meet the criteria above the next thing you will need is a catering bag, it doesn’t have to be anything major, I suggest one off amazon (link to the one I use: https://amzn.to/3q4zJD7) & yes Doordash will have you take a picture of it after each request you accept for a large order, if you miss 2 orders without it Doordash is known to remove you from the program.
Now that you have met all the requirements it is time to start bothering Doordash to allow you into the program, the first step is to sign up & submit your picture of the catering bag. Go to https://doordash.workflowcloud.com/forms/a500c5ba-5f48-43c9-a0f6-e6217e6fb717 & use the password LargeOrderOnboarding, follow the instructions and hit submit.
Now give it 24 hours & then call or chat with Doordash support and ask about the large order program. When you get the agent on the phone or chat tell them you submitted your catering bag and want to verify that you are in the large order program. I have had dashers tell me it has taken two weeks for it to get verified, but it does depend on how many dashers in your area are already part of this program.
If they can’t verify it, or tell you that there are already too many large order dashers in your area, then you may have to sign up for the waiting list. Pizza Program
So the pizza program is very similar to the large order program except not as exclusive & is for pizza orders only, but it is pretty easy to sign up & easier than the large order program as there aren’t any minimum requirements. You will need an actual pizza bag though, not just your regular hot bag. I got this one from amazon for $20 link: https://amzn.to/3wRgMHP
After you receive a pizza bag, go to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOd4ize4WxVx8qF-NCQLuBYbScFYpX1xjE5RZEoTB0NHfTxA/viewform?pli=1&pli=1 and fill out the form, upload your picture and hit submit. Again, wait about 48 hours and then confirm with Doordash that you are signed up for the pizza program. You might start seeing pizza orders coming through before then, it will say “pizza bag required”
